Compact ACCT developed for ADAM hadrontherapy accelerator

The ambitious ADAM project, a private initiative supported by CERN, will use ACCTs to measure the accelerated proton beam along the 3-GHz RF linac.

The beamline design is so compact that ACCT smaller sensors have to be developed.

ADAM is a new type of hadrontherapy accelerator with a very small footprint.

Its ambition is to fit in any hospital without major construction works.
