FAIR in Darmstadt SIS100 synchrotron will use special large diameter DC and wideband beam current transformer with ultra-low dependence on beam lateral position.
The new technique was originally developed by Bergoz Instrumentation for CERN to replace the bunch-bunch monitors of LHC.
